Albert Agro, Ph.D. is a co-founder of GRI Bio and has served as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Development since September 2009. Dr. Agro has over 20+ years in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, and has held several senior clinical and development positions, including from 2010 Chief Medical Officer at Cynapsus, from 2007 Senior Vice President of Clinical Development at TransTech Pharma, and Director positions at Bayer Inc (2005). and Boehringer Ingelheim (2002). At Axon CR, Dr. Agro jointly formed the clinical research arm of Axon Medical Communications, a virtual medical department that partnered in drug development programs with biotech and Pharma companies alike. Dr. Agro completed his Ph.D. from the Department of Medicine at McMaster University. Following a short post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Florence in Italy, Dr. Agro accepted an academic position as assistant professor, Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario that he still maintains today.
